DELTA 2023: Urhobo Nation Endorses Gbagi As Consensus Candidate

As the governorship election in Delta State gathers momentum, the Urhobo ethnic nationality, have thrown their support for Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, as her consensus candidate come 2023.

The Urhobos under the platform of Ughievwen Political Unity, endorsed Olorogun Gbagi during its monthly meeting held on Sunday 20th 2022, at Oginibo, Ughelli south local government area of the state.

Ughievwen nation went agog as the political class, disclosed that Gbagi, is their consensus candidate for the governorship, come 2023 election.

The meeting which witnessed a mammoth crowd of Ughievwen sons and daughters at Gbagi’s Oginibo country home, overwhelmingly endorsed the former Minister for Education as their sole candidate.

Gbagi, a philanthropist, business mogul, in a motion moved by the Chairman of the group, elder statesman, Sir Chief E.D.O. Obofukoro, got the support of all.

Chief Obofukoro, whom the incumbent governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, described as a sincere Urhobo man, stood up in the motion to endorse the industrialist for Governor and it was heralded with a thunderous standing ovation with massive support.

They chanted “Kenneth Gbagi na you we want”, “Please carry go”, “Any where you go, we go with you” and “On Kenneth Gbagi we stand, no challenge”.

The euphoria that greeted the endorsement indicates that the frontline governorship hopeful, has paid his dues and it requires that Deltans pay back by massively voting for him at the delegates (primary) and governorship election come 2023.

Princess Ogbodu, said: “Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, is the only man among all the aspirants that has what it takes to step into the big shoes that Governor Okowa will be leaving behind”.
