Ahead of the 2023 governorship election in Delta State, Rev. Fr. Jesuovie Ogagakpodia, has called on Deltans particularly the youths to vote the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, for massive industrialization across the state and youth emancipation.
The cleric bemoaned that the only industry in the state is tricycle operation and youths who go about the houses of politicians living beggarly lives as means of putting food on their tables.
Father Ogagakpodia, said this during a Thanksgiving Service organized by the Christian Organization for Good Governance, held at the country home of Olorogun Gbagi, in Ughelli south local government area of the state, recently.
“This son and brother of ours, as you all know, born and bred in this community has business acumen and that is the person we want you to pray for, support, encourage and help to liberate our people and the land so that they themselves will have joy in their houses.
“This young man is an industrialist, the man who knows the value of companies and if you look at the terrain from Warri south to Warri north, from Burutu to Bomadi, from Ughelli to Ndokwa to Oshimili, only two companies are in the environment and those two companies are the “Keke and beggers’ Companies”.
“But when this young man is given the prayers of heaven, companies will be revived again”, pointing out that the former minister of State for education, is a practicing Christian with the fear of God”.
Rev. Fr. Ogagakpodia, inspired the mammoth crowd to throw in the tower by disappointing those who would come with monies and other luring items and give their votes to the Social Democratic Party, whose flag bearer is a renowned Criminologist, entrepreneur, a lawyer and a man of good conscience and enduring character.
