…As Aniagwu Lied About Agas’s Governorship Ambition
The governorship ambition of the Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Sheriff Oborevwori, has crashed after forces opposed to his gubernatorial ambition in the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), rejected his aspiration, The Story, can authoritatively report.
It was gathered that the meeting held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, Oborevwori, was asked to completely withdraw from the governorship race.
It was gathered that in the meeting, former governor, Chief James Onanefe Ibori and other Delta Central leaders, rejected the choice of Oborevwori, as he was advised to withdraw totally from the race.
According to our source, Oborevwori, was asked to go for the House of Representativeness so as he would not challenge the former Commissioner for Works cum former governorship aspirant, Chief James Augoye, who has reportedly picked the form for the State House of Assembly to represent Okpe State Constituency in the forthcoming election.
It was reliably learnt that in a pre-meeting attended by Solomon Ogba, Oborevwori, met with the leading governorship aspirant, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, where he pleaded for his understanding and forgiveness.
Corroborating our findings, Fejiro Oliver took to his Facebook page, to announce the new development.
Hear him: “Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has asked his chosen candidate, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, to step down and go for House of Reps.
“Festus Agas has been given the nod to start his campaign with Joan Mrakpor as his Deputy.
“Ibori has been asked to tell David Edevbie to also step down. The meeting ended not quite long.
“Here’s the joker. Ibori has insisted it’s Edevbie or no one else. Edevbie will NEVER step down for anyone whether Sheriff finally agrees to it or not.
“Agas is already warming up to wear his Jersey”, insisting that if Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa makes U-Turn one million times, he would know and his job would be to tell you.
“If Okowa holds any meeting that does not favor Delta and Deltans, I will know and tell you. My job is simple: Inform, educate and cause political revolution for a new Delta.
“Expose rots in government and corporate sector. Help to bring in a new government that is fair to all and is not imposed on us.
“If you can track Festus Agas conversations, you will listen to his call telling concerned persons to make Ibori allow him to fly as gubernatorial candidate. He will now start using WhatsApp call because of this expose” he added.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Ehiedu Aniagwu, had earlier disclosed that the former Chief of Staff, Festus Agas, didn’t buy the governorship form while fielding questions from journalists on April 6th 2022, at the conference room of his ministry.
Hear him: “for you to contest, first of all, you must commence some process of consultation and after which you must buy a form. You cannot become a student of a university you did not apply for.
“You will apply, the University will process your application even if you didn’t write the examination but there must be an application to be a member of that particular university”, insisting that Agas didn’t buy the governorship form.
However, with Oliver’s lastest update, it could be that Agas, had purchased his governorship form before resigning as Chief of Staff, “he resigned because he is a statutory delegate” Aniagwu said.
