Ahead of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), governorship primaries, scheduled for May 7th 2022, in Delta State, leading governorship aspirant, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, was the first to pick the Nomination and Expression of Interest forms at the PDP Secretariat, Abuja.
Gbagi made the disclosure while speaking as a guest speaker on Wednesday March 23rd 2022, at the 2022 Annual NUJ Press Week Lecture/Award Ceremony with the theme: “2023 General Elections and Security Challenges”, held in Warri.
Olorogun Gbagi, the largest private investor in the state, purchased his forms on 23, March, 2022.
Others who picked their forms on same day are Senator James Manager and Barr. Fred Majemite.
The Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), Sheriff
Oboreivwori, former Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the state, Mr. Peter Mrakpor, SAN, and seating Deputy Governor of the State, Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, picked theirs on 24th and 25th respectively.
While Odebala and Chief Esievo, picked their forms on 29th March 2022, with Braduce Angozi, who barely picked his form one hour ago, today March 30th 2022.
Among the governorship aspirants, six including Gbagi, Oborevwori, Majemite, Mrakpor, Odebala and Chief Esievo are Urhobos from Delta Central Senatorial District of the state.
While Otuaro and two of his tribal men, Manager and Angozi are Ijaws from Delta South Senatorial District of the state.
Although, the date former Commissioner for Finance and Chief of Staff, Olorogun David Edebvie and Sir Bright Onajefe Gift bought their forms were not seen on Facebook and WhatsApp platforms, supporters saiy that they have purchased their forms.
