Ahead of the 2023 governorship election in Delta State, more indigenes of the state have continued to drum support for the leading governorship aspirant and former minister of education, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi.
A businessman in Asaba, who spoke exclusively to The Story, Mr. Gregory Ihenacho, has described the renowned entrepreneur as the man Delta State needs to take charge of its wheel of progress.
The The Story, stumbled on Ihenacho, alongside others while analysing the aspirants during a discussion on the activities to the build up to the primaries and the general elections in Asaba, the State capital.
He stated that it needs a courageous leader to effect drastic changes that would bring revenue and build the state, particularly the stress of doing business, stressing that the development of the state is about thinking and doing the right thing.
“Delta needs Gbagi even as Gbagi need Delta. It is a win-win situation. The state needs drastic courageous changes that will bring revenue and Gbagi am that courageous one it needs.
“From my views about Gbagi, when he was minister of education, the things he did, no other minister has done them. If Deltans knows what is good, they should allow him because he will reinvent those days and Delta will be good for it.
“Accelerated development is what Delta needs at this time”, explaining that when Gbagi becomes governor, he would turn the fortunes of the state around as he has done in his private business life.
Ihenacho noted that Gbagi is well educated, sound, brilliant, vibrant, and one of the best in the State at the moment, calling on the delegates to show commitment towards the development of the state by voting in large number for Gbagi during the party primaries.
