Re: Delta 2023: Kenneth Gbagi Is An Udu Son By Induction
It has come to our notice that a write up with the above headline has been flying over the social media and the internet, purportedly written by one Mr. Charles Buluku who claimed to be an aide to Chief Kenneth Gbagi.
The write up which stated that “it was a gathering of formalization between Udu PDP ward excos and Gbagi solidarity movement (GSM) when Olorogun Gbagi former Minister for state education and foremost Governorship aspirant in Delta State hosted Udu PDP Ward excos at his country home Oginibo in Ughelli South local government area” was wrongly and falsely reported, and thereby lacks facts as the writer claims.
Mr. Charles Buluku who further quoted Olorogun Friday Orugbo, chairman of Udu PDP ward 03 saying; “with what I saw in you today Delta State is in safe hand” has horridly done this to attract cheap credit to his write up.
Chief Friday Orugbo confirmed his presence at the said meeting but pointed out that the report lacks facts as his name is attached to a statement he never made at the meeting. Adding that he questioned the convener of the meeting as he did not keep to time, as well as his display of nonchalant attitude towards attendees at the meeting.
While debunking the message being shared across social media, Chief Friday Orugbo acknowledged that the worthiness of his name has been the reason beyond the fake reportage as Mr. Charles Buluku could not generate any tangible statements from the meeting.
While addressing the press, Chief Friday Orugbo noted that it is not in his power to give Udu votes to any candidate as he is not the LGA party Chairman nor the Council Chairman as against the claim of Mr. Charles of him (Chief Friday Orugbo) assuring Chief Kenneth Gbagi of Udu votes.
In his speech, he reaffirmed his stand to support the Urhobo agenda to produce the next Governor of Delta State come 2023 as he is a bonafide Urhobo son.
While he prayed that the best candidate will emerge from the Urhobo nation, he restated that his weight and support will be fully thrown behind the candidate that will emerge from the primaries.
However, he advised Chief Gbagi Kenneth to employ qualified media practitioners rather than a partial deaf and unlearned man like Mr. Charles Buluku as an aide in his high personality especially as an aspirant contesting for the office of Delta State Governor.
