As the bell for the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) primaries for the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) race ticks closer, stakeholders in Ughelli south PDP has described the leading aspirant, Pastor Engr. Elvis Peters Uto, as the reincarnation of late Pius Ewerido.
The elders and stakeholders made the disclosure in a caucus meeting of Delegates held to pledge and affirm their unreserved support for him in the forthcoming primary election.
According to them, “It is with tears of joy by the Leaders, Cheftains, and Delegates of the People’s Democratic Party within the Jeremi axis of Ughelli south constituency on Wednesday just as they poured encomium on the soon-to-be-member of the Delta State House of Assembly, representing Ughelli South, Pst.(Engr) Elvis Peters Uto”, describing his drive and passion for his people as second to none.
They said the last time they heard someone spoke like this was in the time of Senator Pius Ewerido, who died at the peak of his career and service to his people.
They said they have checked all the track records of all aspiring for the State house of assembly, and none is even half as qualified as Pst.(Engr.) Elvis Peters Uto.
In their words; A man who have been Structural Engineer for the Oghara Teaching hospital; a man who have handled 3 Delta North Local government Areas as Superintending Engineer;
“A man who have also been head of Project Monitoring covering the 25 local government Areas of Delta state; a man who is a director in the multimillion Dollar construction firm based in the USA bringing developments on behalf of Africans in the diaspora;
“A man who is also a Senior Pastor of a big ministry in Nigeria; This kind of man should not be running for State House of Assembly, but for Senate”.
They promised, all that is required within their powers as Delegates, they will bring it to bare with their votes come on the 7th of May.
They reiterated that Ughievwen and Ewu are blood brothers from the same Parents, and it’s time for Ughievwen to reward his elder brother, Ewu with the DTHA come 2023.
The meeting which completely kept all names anonymous for the sake of privacy, said their Principal (Elvis Uto) should let their Ewu brothers know they will not disappoint them.
Responding, the man in the eye of the storm, Pst Engr Elvis Peters Uto expressed gratitude, and encouraged them to be contentious soul-winners on the UTO-RISM Agenda.
He said Ughelli South would experience “true representation again, assuring that the Elders would gain their relevance again.
He said the people are free to take the monies offered by other aspirants, but everyone should stand for Truth.
