A political group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, known as the Wamban Shinkafi Democratic Front, has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as its sole candidate for the 2027 general election.
The endorsement was made during a stakeholders’ meeting held at the Taula Conference Hall in Gusau.
Speaking at the event, APC stalwart and leader of the Democratic Front, Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi (Wamban Shinkafi), said the decision to back President Tinubu was based on his remarkable achievements, visionary leadership, and people-oriented policies aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth.
According to Shinkafi, President Tinubu has demonstrated strong commitment to addressing the nation’s security challenges, particularly in the North-West region, with visible progress in Zamfara and other parts of the country.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing everything humanly possible to end insecurity in Nigeria, especially in Zamfara.
He has also initiated several developmental projects across the North, showing his determination and focus in rebuilding our nation,” Shinkafi stated.
He called on APC members and supporters across the country to rally behind President Tinubu to ensure his re-election in 2027 for a second term, describing him as the best choice to consolidate ongoing reforms.
The motion for the endorsement was moved by Yushau Mada and seconded by Asmau Gusau, both prominent members of the group.
During the meeting, Shinkafi also announced his intention to contest the Zamfara State governorship election in 2027 under the platform of the APC, promising to complement the president’s efforts at the state level.
Several stakeholders who spoke at the event commended President Tinubu’s leadership and praised Shinkafi for his consistency, grassroots mobilization, and commitment to the party’s success in Zamfara and beyond.
