As Christians across the globe mark the Christmas season in celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has conveyed warm goodwill messages to Nigerians, with special greetings to his constituents in Anioma land.
In a Christmas message issued in Abuja, the senator described the season as deeply significant, not only to Christians but to humanity as a whole, owing to the profound spiritual and moral lessons exemplified by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
Senator Nwoko noted that the birth of Christ over two millennia ago ushered in an extraordinary legacy that has continued to influence societies across generations, and he congratulated Christians for their rich and enduring divine heritage.
The lawmaker, who recently distributed over one thousand bags of rice alongside other relief items to communities across Delta North and beyond, described Christmas as a season of celebration, reverence, and thanksgiving.
He encouraged Christians and all Nigerians to use the festive period as an opportunity to reaffirm the timeless values of love, peace, unity, and collective responsibility, which Christ personified.
Senator Nwoko further urged citizens to consistently uphold the principles of tolerance, forgiveness, empathy, and mutual respect, stressing that these virtues are indispensable for peaceful coexistence among people created by one God, regardless of religious, ethnic, or social distinctions.
“Christmas is a season of joy and reflection. It represents not only the birth of Jesus Christ but also the essence of His divine mission as the Prince of Peace.
“I rejoice with Christians across Nigeria, Delta State, and Anioma land in particular on this auspicious occasion.
“On behalf of my family and political associates, I extend my heartfelt wishes for joy, peace, and goodwill to all Nigerians this Yuletide season. Merry Christmas,” Senator Nwoko said.
