The National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the North East, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, Ph.D, Esq., has congratulated the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, on the conferment of prestigious traditional titles by the Fombina Emirate Council in Adamawa State and the Zing Emirate Council in Taraba State.
In a statement made available to journalists, Salihu described the honors, Sardaunan Fombina and Walin Zing, as recognition of Ribadu’s distinguished service, leadership, and dedication to the people of Adamawa, the North East, and Nigeria as a whole.
“Mallam Nuhu Ribadu is a worthy son of Adamawa State whose achievements mirror the values and aspirations of our people.
His appointment as National Security Adviser reflects his proven competence and experience in addressing Nigeria’s complex security challenges,” Salihu said.
He emphasized that the traditional titles symbolize leadership, wisdom, and service to the community, noting that Ribadu’s conferment underscores his longstanding contributions to peace, unity, and development in the region and beyond.
Recalling Ribadu’s tenure as the pioneer Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Salihu praised his fearless anti-corruption campaign, which earned global recognition. He added that, as NSA, Ribadu has continued to demonstrate strategic leadership in tackling Boko Haram insurgency, banditry, kidnapping for ransom, oil theft, and other security and economic crimes undermining Nigeria’s stability.
“Mallam Ribadu’s approach combines intelligence, community engagement, and military precision. His efforts alongside security agencies are gradually restoring peace to conflict-affected areas of the North East and North West,” he stated.
Salihu further highlighted Ribadu’s focus on dismantling criminal networks and fostering synergy among security agencies and local communities, stressing that his integrity and leadership inspire trust both within Nigeria and internationally.
He commended the Lamido Adamawa, Dr. Mohammed Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, for bestowing the traditional honors, describing the moment as a source of pride for Adamawa State and a reaffirmation of Ribadu’s high standing in society.
“As the People’s Comrade, I affirm that Mallam Nuhu Ribadu remains a symbol of hope and resilience for Nigerians. His unwavering commitment to national security reflects his deep love for Nigeria and its people,” Salihu added.
The APC North East Vice Chairman assured Ribadu of the continued support of the party’s youth wing in his efforts to secure the nation. He prayed for Allah’s blessings upon him as he discharges his responsibilities with distinction.
“I once again congratulate Mallam Nuhu Ribadu on these prestigious traditional titles and commend his tireless service as National Security Adviser in working toward a more secure and prosperous Nigeria,” he concluded.
