The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Muhammed Abubakar Adamu, has ordered a full blown investigation into the purported striping naked of four staff of Signatious Hotel in Warri, Delta State.

In a telephone conversation with The Story, Editor-In-Chief, on Friday evening, the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) Force Headquarters, Abuja, DCP Frank Mba, disclosed that an investigation has been ordered to determine the facts of the matter.

Hear him: “an investigation is an elaborate process, an investigation may at certain stage require that an arrest be made or someone be invited into the station or that certain property or properties or certain  location or certain scene of crime be searched or condoned.

“So, it will not be right to say specifically that IG has ordered his arrest. The right thing to say is that IG has ordered an investigation into the whole scenerio, we want to find out if it is indeed; is it true? Is that allegation true?

“If it is true, how did the perpetrators carry out the act? And who and who are the persons that participated in the whole act or in the whole episode?

“So, investigation is a holistic thing and we are approaching it holistically with an open mind.

“The IGP has equally appealed to citizens to calm down and give the police sufficient time and sufficient support to ensure that we are able to get to the root of the matter and discret the truth from what is probably half truth or what is not true”, he added.

The social media was washed on Friday with unverified news that the IGP has allegedly ordered the arrest of Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, whose staff with Signatious Hotel, were allegedly stripped naked over missing N5, 000.

But a close source who debunked the allegation of the arrest said the Delta state Governorship hopeful, on Friday 25th September 2020, was in his house resting.
