Two yet-to-be identified siblings were struck dead by the thunder lightning that accompanied heavy downpour in Ikirun, Ifelodun local government area of Osun State.
It was gathered that the incident happened at Orisa-Elejin area of the town as it rained cat and dog.
The deceaseds were between the ages of 14 and 16 years.
It was gathered that the two siblings stole someone’s wallet which was found on the younger one.
According a resident of the area, there was a certain amount of money in the wallet when it was stolen.
“They are siblings who stole wallet (igbanu) few days ago and the owner promised to deal with whoever stole her wallet.
“The lightning killed the two of them this evening. The stolen wallet was seen on the younger one.”
