Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has formally received his membership card of the All Progressives Congress (APC), officially confirming his status as a member of the ruling party.
The membership card was presented to the Governor by the Chairman of the APC Hospital Ward in Wukari Local Government Area, Hon. Umaru Tanko, during a brief ceremony held at the TY Danjuma House, Jalingo.
Speaking after receiving the card, Governor Kefas said his registration into the APC has formally validated his identity as a party member, thereby enabling him to participate fully in all party activities.
He added that the earlier postponed official defection ceremony would be rescheduled and held in the near future.
Presenting the card, Hon. Umaru Tanko described Governor Kefas as a bona fide member of the APC and expressed delight at officially welcoming him into the party.
In her remarks, the Taraba State Commissioner for Information and Reorientation, Barrister Zainab Usman Jalingo, affirmed that the Governor is now a full-fledged member of the APC in Taraba State.
The ceremony was attended by members of the APC State Working Committee, led by the State Secretary, Hon. Fidelis Francis.
With his official registration, Governor Kefas has formally assumed leadership responsibilities within the APC in the state and is now eligible to participate in all party activities.
