In a strategic move to enhance air services and promote economic growth, the Taraba State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NG Eagle Airline Limited through the State Ministry of Transportation Development.

The partnership is designed to improve air connectivity, ease travel, and position Taraba as one of Nigeria’s emerging destination hubs for business and tourism.

Under the agreement, NG Eagle Airline, a duly registered air service provider headquartered in Maitama, Abuja, will operate two daily flights on the Abuja–Jalingo–Abuja route, three times weekly (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays).

The initiative is expected to facilitate smoother travel, support commerce, and expand tourism opportunities in the state.

Speaking at the MoU signing held at the airline’s Abuja office, the Taraba State Commissioner for Transportation Development, Hon. Yakubu S. Yakubu, reaffirmed Governor Agbu Kefas’s commitment to modernizing air travel in the state.

He described the partnership as a “significant milestone in boosting economic growth, improving accessibility, and positioning Taraba as a preferred destination in Nigeria.”

On his part, the Managing Director of NG Eagle Airline Limited, Captain Amir Gaya, expressed the airline’s readiness to provide safe, reliable, and efficient services under the agreement.

He praised the Taraba State Government for its vision, describing the project as transformative for both the state and Nigeria’s aviation sector.
