A 20-year-old boy suspected to be a yahoo boy, simply identified as Clinton, has been allegedly killed by partners in crime over N50 million alert.
It was learnt that the victim celebrated his mother’s birthday about four weeks ago, at Ovie Palace Road in Uvwie local government area of Delta State, before meeting his untimely death.
It was gathered that he resides in HK, a building purportedly housing internet fraudsters, with his friends when the bank alerted him around 3:000am on Friday August 27th 2021, before he was killed after reportedly screaming after he received the alert.
It was learnt that members of the vigilante group in the area arrested while trying to take the deceased’s body to his mother but were allegedly released after paying their way through.
It was gathered that his murderers were able to smuggle the dead body to the mother who was simply identified as Onome but was confirmed dead at the Central Hospital Ekpan, where he was rushed to for medical attention.
It was learnt that as soon as he was laid to mother earth, the friends allegedly zoomed to Sokoto State.
It was learnt that the Baptist Church, Okuokoko Community, where he was a member of the Royal Ambassador, has been thrown into mourning.
Contacted, the Ag. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright said: “from our records, there is nothing like that”.
