Signature Bank Launches New Branch In Delta

Signature Bank has opened a new branch in Asaba, the Delta State capital with a promise to be fast, digitally enabled to serve people in the State from all parts of the State digitally as well as all part of Nigeria.

The bank has promised to strategically grow its network to provide excellent banking services and foster economic growth.

This is just as the bank announced that a new branch is undergoing construction in Warri, the commercial hub of the State.

In his welcome address on Tuesday 16th April 2024, during the commissioning of the bank, acting Managing Director (MD), Mr. Godwin Nosike, said the event was not just the opening of a branch but aimed at serving the capital and its environs.

Hear him: “today, we celebrate not just the opening of a new branch but also our commitment to serve the vibrant community of Asaba and its environs with top notch and indeed financial services.

“The commitment is dear to us to finding solutions to the financial needs if the business and financial community of the State.

“The opening of this branch today, sets up a top point of physical interface with our customers and this an addition of digital financial solutions available to our customers remotely.

“In today’s rapidly in evolving in digital landscape must have add the importance of staying ahead that is why our digital banking platforms are designed to provide you with a seamless and contingent banking experience anytime, anywhere”.

He appreciated the State governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for physically coming to commission the branch, adding”we do not take your presence here today, for granted”.

Continuing, he said: “the setting up of this branch in Asaba today, we extend our hands of partnership to you and make ourselves available to support your financial growth and aspiration.

“We have every confidence that we will prosper together. Our establishment of a branch in Asaba, is a testament of our belief in opportunities and friendly business environment that the State provides.

“We have experienced the friendship and cordial relationship of the State right from the time we commenced the construction of the bank”, expressing hope that the friendship would continue.

Also, the Non Executive Director, Mr. Shadrach Odo, said the opening of the branch in Asaba, marks a significant milestone in the bank’s journey.

According to him, “it is a testament to our commitment to provide unparallel banking experiences and fostering relationship and Economic growth and championing financial inclusion within the communities where we operate.

“It gives us an opportunity to collaborate with the State and the State Executive Council and partner with your MORE Agenda, we are here to serve.

“At Signature bank we understand the pivotal role the banking sector plays in the development of any country and also in meeting the aspiration of individuals.

“We are here as a bank to enable your dreams flourish and to be sure that your aspiration comes through”, he said.

Earlier, the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, said his administration would continue to actively promote and sustain a business-friendly environment that would significantly attract potential investors to the state.

“This administration is very pro-business and it is continually seeking the ways to enhance the ease of doing business in the state in order to attract more investors.

“One of the ways we have achieved this is through enhancing peace and security which is the fourth pillar of our MORE Agenda.

“We are constantly working with the relevant security agencies to sustain the tempo of peace that we currently enjoy in the state.

“This is to ensure that people can go about their lawful businesses without fear or hindrance. Many people come into Delta State on a daily basis.

“So, I want to assure you that, as you have come to open this branch here and proposing another one in Warri, the bank will enjoy the government’s support”.

While expressing delight at the official commissioning of the bank in Asaba, the Governor said the State Government was more than happy to welcome the additional bank to the rapidly expanding banking sector in the state.

He pointed out that Asaba had witnessed the influx of old and new generation banks in the last five years or thereabout because of the city’s growing reputation as a peaceful centre for trade, commerce, entertainment and hospitality.

“Also, with its transformation into a modern city, Asaba is a strong pool for young professionals and entrepreneurs, hence the prospects for commercial banking are huge.

“Since the founding of the Signature Bank in 2022, it has steadily built a reputation for customized banking services, creating solutions to customers’ need and deploying cutting edge technology and a strong culture of excellence in professionalism.

“I have no doubt that its presence in Asaba will enliven the banking sector in the state and lead to healthier competition, which is good for customers,” the Governor added.

Governor Oborevwori said he was excited by the prospect of employment opportunities that the bank would bring to Deltans because, according to him, job creation was one of the four pillars of the MORE Agenda of his administration.

He affirmed that the coming of Signature Bank would also boost the retail economy in the state, even as he assured the board, management and staff of the bank that they would find Delta State a sustainably conducive place for doing business.
