Senator Ned Nwoko joined other political and religious leaders at an Iftar dinner hosted by the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, in an event that underscored reflection, unity, and shared values.
The gathering, which brought together key stakeholders, emphasized the importance of faith, sacrifice, and governance rooted in compassion.
In a Facebook post, Senator Nwoko reflected on the significance of Ramadan, drawing parallels between the Islamic holy month and Christian observances like Lent and Easter. He highlighted how these sacred seasons encourage humility, kindness, and service to others.
“These sacred seasons of fasting and prayers, regardless of our religious backgrounds, remind us that love, peace, and service to humanity are the values that bind us together,” Nwoko stated.
He further stressed the responsibility of leaders to uphold integrity, fairness, and a commitment to improving citizens’ lives.
Expressing gratitude to Governor Uzodinma and other guests for the evening of meaningful dialogue, Nwoko extended well wishes for strength, blessings, and peace to the nation.
The Senator concluded by reiterating the need for unity and an inclusive society built on mutual respect, shared devotion, and a commitment to humanity’s greater good.
