A post on his verified Facebook page, on Wednesday June 2nd 2021, the former minister disclosed, “I look forward to a few days of rest, visiting old friends, sightseeing and just a little politicking whilst I am here.
“I thank God that I arrived safely in Bauchi this morning. I am here to spend a few days with my friend and brother Governor Bala Mohammed”.
He commended Aero Contractors whose flight he used for his journey to the state, “It was an honor and privilege to fly in on the maiden Aero Contractors flight from Abuja and we were received at the airport by the Governor and officials of the state Government.
“It was an excellent flight and the pilot and crew did a great job. The reception at the airport was wonderful and I am happy that Aero Contractors has opened this route.
“This will usher in a new era of commerce and development for Bauchi which has now effectively become the hub for the whole of the North Eastern zone of Nigeria!
“I have not been to Bauchi for 30 years and I am so excited to be here. It really is great to be in the land of reverred elder-statesmen and great nationalists from our history like Sir Tafawa Balewa and Alhaji Sule Katagum.
“The people here are warm and kind and of course my brother Governor Bala who is hosting me has been simply wonderful. I give thanks to God for the love and warmth. Will keep you all posted! Stay blessed and stay safe. Shalom”.
