The Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, has lauded the North-East National Vice Chairman of the party, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, for his empowerment initiative aimed at fostering economic self-reliance among party members.

As part of the initiative, Comrade Salihu disbursed ₦1 million seed capital to seven selected beneficiaries drawn from seven local government areas of Adamawa State.

The beneficiaries include: Khaleel Sajoh (Yola South), Anas Bala (Yola North), Hingino Bedan (Girei), Magdalene David (Michika), Faisal Mohammed Usman (Fufore), and Isa Garba (Mayo Belwa).

In addition, six individuals from his immediate constituency in Rumde Ward, Jimeta, benefitted from another ₦500,000 financial support.

They are: Safiyanu Adamu, Ibrahim Haruna, Umar Lawan, Ishiyaku Aliyu, Aisha Mohammed, and Abdullahi Ahmed.

Speaking on behalf of the state chapter of the party, Ribadu described Salihu’s intervention as a practical demonstration of leadership by example, noting that the gesture underscores his unwavering commitment to uplifting grassroots members of the APC through entrepreneurship support.

“This kind of intervention is exactly what our party needs at this critical time. Comrade Mustapha Salihu has shown that leadership is not only about occupying positions but also about touching lives and supporting others to stand on their feet,” Ribadu said.

He urged other prominent APC stakeholders and political office holders in Adamawa to emulate Salihu’s example by extending similar support to party faithful, especially at the ward and local government levels.

Ribadu also advised the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the funds, stressing that they must channel the support into productive ventures that can guarantee sustainable livelihoods.

“This support should not be used to procure ephemeral luxuries but rather to create lasting sources of income that will uplift both their families and communities,” he counseled.

He concluded by noting that such initiatives would not only ease economic hardship among party members but also strengthen unity, loyalty, and cohesion within the APC in Adamawa and beyond.
