Rivers Governor Storms Residence Of Former NDDC MD

Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike of Rivers State has recorded another major feat in his dogged fight against what he calls “Abuja politicians”.

The vocal Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), governor single handedly went on rescue mission to the house of the former Managing Director (MD), Interim Management Committee (IMC) in charge of the affairs of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Joy Nunieh, in Port Harcourt.

Wike, who got wind of clandestine move to put her on house arrest allegedly by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, stormed Nunieh’s residence with full press crew to rescue her.

The Story, reliably gathered that Joi Nunieh’s house was invaded by heavily armed policemen purportedly sent by Akpabio invaded her Port Harcourt residence with the aim of preventing her from testifying before the Senate in the ongoing NDDC probe against Godswill Akpabio.

the about 30 policemen allegedly acting on the orders of Akpabio, blocked her residence at about 4:00am this morning in Port Harcourt from leaving her house for the airport for Abuja, where she is due to testify at the House of Representatives in Abuja over the IMC’s alleged looting of N81 billion.

Meanwhile, rumour from the grapevine had it that the minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Akpabio, is accused of sexual harassment.
