Rivers Governor Goes Tough On Traders Around Rumuokoro Flyover

Hard times await traders who would after Sunday 23rd November 2020, display their wares around the Rumuokoro flyover, Rivers State.

The state governor, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, directed law enforcement agents to apprehend any trader found displaying goods around the flyover.

A press release on 22nd November 2020, by the Special Assistant to the governor on Media, Kelvin Ebiri, equally empowered security agents to seize their goods.

“Rivers State Government has directed security agencies to arrest any trader who display goods around the Rumuokoro Flyover, with effect from Monday, 23 November 2020.

“Security agencies have also been directed to confiscate their goods.

“The Rivers State Government hereby warns that traders who flout this directive will be prosecuted  in pursuant to relevant Sections of the Rivers State Street Trading, Illegal Markets and Motor Parks (Prohibition) Law 2019”, the release added.
