Presidential aspirant of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the ongoing Special National Convention, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has charged delegates on the need to remain united.
Alhaji Atiku, a former Vice President of the party and 2019 former presidential candidate made the call on Saturday evening while addressing delegates during the Convention in Abuja.
According to him, “This convention is unique and historic because it is the last convention in the era of the APC.
“Because it is going to give our great party the opportunity to take over the country and the States.
“Therefore, distinguished delegates, I want to appeal to you for unity in this party.
“No matter the provocation, sabotage, discrimination that may be melted out to you, all these are temporary.
“The most important thing for us is to unite and make sure our party wins in the forthcoming election.
“I am distressed to read that a number of our party officials have felt frustrated, desiluded in the processes that have taken place in many states in the country.
“I want to appeal to those who are angry, frustrated and who feel discriminated to bear with the party, it is a matter of time. They say no condition is permanent”, he said.
