A 32-year-old suspected kidnapper, Sani (surname withheld), of Buladega village in Mubi South Local Government Area (LGA) of Adamawa State, has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping four persons in Gombi LGA of the state.
The suspect was said to have confessed to operatives of the state police command that he abducted one Alhaji Oro Musa and three others last December.
A statement by the police command revealed that a pistol with six rounds of live ammunition and padlocks and chains used in tying victims were recovered from him.
The statement, signed by spokesperson for the command, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, and made available to the Nigeria Tribune, revealed that operatives attached to Gombi Division arrested Sani on January 4.
“The suspect, during interrogation, confessed to be a member of a syndicate of six who masterminded the kidnapping of Alhaji Oro Musa of Gombi LGA and three others last December,” the statement said.
