OWO ATTACK: We Are In Anguish, Trauma — Gbagi

Governorship hopeful of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in Delta State, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, has lamented the rise of insecurity in the country, pointing out that the wanton killings have clearly displayed how the country has been bedeviled with insecurity.

Gbagi in a statement on Monday June 6th 2022, condemned the attack, saying that the incident has left Nigerians in “anguish and trauma”.

He called on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency, carry out a discreet investigation into the act, with a view to unravelling the criminals behind the dastard act and bring them quickly to face the full wrath of law to serve as deterrent to others.

The leading governorship aspirant who described the callous attack on innocent worshippers as shocking and reprehensible, said, “I weep with the families of the victims, the government and entire people of Ondo State.

“A thoroughly investigation should be carried out to unravel the criminals behind it with a view to bring them to book.

“It is another wake up call on all security agencies to up their game with a view to averting the occurrence of such incidents in future”.

The insecurity in this country has shown us how fragile we all are. God’s sanctuary was desecrated as Owo cried blood yesterday.”

He also prayed for the healing of the wounded and solace for the bereaved, “May the wounded be healed. May souls of the dearly departed find rest. May those left bereft, find solace”.
