Operative of Operation Delta Hawk, a State security outfit established by Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, has reportedly killed a young man simply identified as Kunle, in Sapele, the administrative headquarter of Sapele local government area of the state.
It was gathered that Operation Delta Hawk operatives stormed Sapele over a tipoff following a shooting that led to the killing of a yet to be identified person on Friday March 24th 2023, at Labourd Road, Sapele.
Determine to apprehend the suspects, the personnel of Operation Delta Hawk, mounted road block around Olimpia, for a stop and search routine.
According to an impeccable source, Kunle, on sighting the operatives, turned over unknown fear.
It was learnt that the operatives decided to chase him but unable to close up on him, allegedly open fire on the deceased’s car, and shot him on the neck, which led to his death.
It was also gathered that Kunle, lost control and ran into a motorcycle operator, otherwise known as Okada rider.
Although, it could not ascertain whether the Okada rider died or suffered any injury.
It was reliably gathered that some youths have petitioned the officers over the alleged killing of Kunle, for justice to be served.
At press time, efforts to reach personnel of the security outfit for their side of the story, proved abortive.
