Open Letter To The Senate President

30
Senator Ahmed Lawan,

Senate President, Federal Republic of Nigeria,
National Assembly Complex,
Abuja,

My Dear Senate President,

YOU ARE SETTING A VERY WRONG PRECEDENCE WITH REGARDS TO THE SCREENING OF ANOTHER SET OF PEOPLE FOR THE SAME NDDC BOARD

We chose to communicate you through this medium considering the fact that we have little or no time to draw your attention to the ungodly, provocative, corrupt and dishonourable path the Senate want to tow under your leadership with regards to the screening of another set of people for the same NDDC you had already screened some persons for.

SP sir, the Senate under leadership is trying to set the people of Niger-Delta against themselves by this action you are trying to take. How can you screen two sets of people for the same board when the first set has not been inaugurated?

We were ashamed that the Senate under your leadership was helpless when the Minister for Niger-Delta Affairs was illegally using whoever he likes to run the NDDC affairs for over fifteen months against the Act establishing the Commission. Up till date, we are yet to see the outcome of the so-called Forensic Audit; even if it is in batches.

Sir, there are rumours going round that you and some key members of the Senate have collected huge amount of money from a serving Minister to do his bidding as regards the NDDC BOARD. We strongly believe that you will not mess up your name and the Red Chamber during your time as the Senate President.

The world in general and Nigerians in particular a waiting to see if truly you will make this blunder of a mistake because of the alleged billions of naira and contracts promised.

SP sir, we don’t want to bother you with long message, but to remind you that, you have already screened some set of people who are yet to be inaugurated for that board. We expected the Senate under your leadership to call on the executive to inaugurate that board than to screen another set of people for the board. Except you are confirming the allegations to be truth by screening another people for the board in other to take delivery of the promises.

Please also know that, no one person owns the NDDC BOARD, but a collective asset of the Niger-Delta people. Therefore, any attempt to use the board for political battle of supremacy against the interest of the people will be resisted by every known legal means.

Thank you sir.
