One person has been confirmed dead after a Toyota Camry Spider Car rammed into a dumped truck parked beside the expressway, around the Dr. Godwin Maduka Foundation axis of new Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, Akwa, Anambra State.
According to bystanders and eyewitnesses, the Toyota Camry driver had lost control then ran over a man as it made its way to the parked dump truck.
The victim, a man in his late 30s, simply identified as Ebuka, was said to had alighted from a commercial bus, minutes before the tragedy.
The victim, who was smashed into the drainage on the side of the road died instantly, while the driver of the Toyota Camry who was said to be in critical condition, was rushed to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, same as the body of the deceased.
Men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), alongside other persons were around to help.
