The All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to launch a nationwide membership drive as part of its efforts to expand its reach and strengthen grassroots engagement.

This was among the key resolutions reached during the APC National Caucus meeting held yesterday at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja.

The high-level meeting, chaired by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, brought together key party leaders, including the Vice President, Senate President, Speaker of the House, APC governors, and other influential stakeholders.

Discussions centered on strategic decisions shaping the future of the party and the country.

A post on the Facebook handle of the former Deputy Senate President and APC Governorship candidate in the 2023 election in Delta, reveals a major highlight of the meeting was the introduction of a membership e-registration exercise, a groundbreaking initiative designed to modernize and simplify the process of joining the APC.

This digital platform will allow Nigerians across all regions to seamlessly register and become part of the party’s movement.

Additionally, the caucus resolved to schedule a non-elective convention, aimed at fostering internal unity, addressing party dynamics, and aligning leadership with the aspirations of members nationwide.

Another significant decision was the establishment of The Progressive Institute (TPI), which will serve as a training hub for grooming future political leaders.

The institute will equip members with essential governance skills and deepen their understanding of progressive leadership principles.

Legal matters concerning the party were also reviewed, with updates provided on ongoing litigation.

These discussions reinforced the APC’s commitment to operating within legal frameworks while safeguarding the party’s interests.

Looking ahead, attention now shifts to the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting scheduled for today at the APC secretariat in Abuja.

This gathering is expected to finalize and implement the decisions reached during the caucus meeting, particularly the membership drive and other strategic initiatives.

With these resolutions, the APC is positioning itself for long-term political dominance, leveraging technology, grassroots mobilization, and leadership development to solidify its standing as Nigeria’s leading political party.

As the membership drive kicks off, both existing and prospective members eagerly anticipate playing a role in the party’s evolving vision for national progress.

Yesterday evening, I had the honour of joining our leader and President, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the National Caucus meeting of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), held at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.

The meeting brought together key party leaders to discuss critical issues affecting both the party and the nation.

The National Caucus, which serves as an advisory body, comprises senior party officials, including the National Chairman, members of the National Working Committee, the President and Vice President, the Senate President, the Speaker of the House, APC governors, former party leaders, and other key stakeholders.

At the meeting, we deliberated on key matters such as the scheduling of a non-elective convention, the formation of party standing committees, the establishment of The Progressive Institute (TPI), and the implementation of a membership e-registration exercise. The caucus also reviewed legal reports on ongoing litigation involving the party.
