Ogun Central Senator Visit Areas Affected By Flood

Former Ogun State governor and Senator Representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, in the National Assembly (NASS), Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has visited affected areas in Abeokuta, after the heavy downpour.

He went round Abeokuta town, in order to assess the effect of the flood as a result of the heavy downpour, just as the tour took him and his entourage to all the affected areas.

He noted that the storm was well contained in all the areas the immediate past government worked upon, as part of the administration’s rebuilding efforts.

According to posts on his official Facebook page, Senator Amosun is expected to embark on similar tour to other parts of the Senatorial District to access the flood impact.

Meanwhile, after 24 hours downpour, residents said the Ogun State governor is yet to visit the damage sites.

It would be recalled that, on Saturday, there was a heavy downpour in Abeokuta metropolis which created palpable fear, in the minds of residents of the ancient city, as the heavy downpour which started at about 3:00am on on the fateful day destroyed property worth several millions of naira in the State.
