The minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN has been appointed the Chairman of the newly reconstituted Board of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).
President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the reconstruction of the Board following the expiration of the tenure of old board.
A statement by the Senior Special Assistant, on Media and Publicity to the President, Garba Shehu, said: “Following the expiration of the tenure of the former Board of the National Directorate of Employment, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reconstitution of the new BBoar with Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN – Chairman.
The statement disclosed that Keyamo’s ministry is statutorily provided for Supervising Ministers of the Agency.
Mr. Chris J. Maiyaki (Member), representing the Nigerian Universities Commissio, Mallam Lawal Y. Hafiz (Member), representing the National Board for Technical Education, Prince Tony Omoaghe – Member, Mrs. Obiageli B. Orah – Member and Yamah Patience J. (Mrs.) (Member), representing Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, MCIPM, mni – representing Federal Ministry of Water Resources, Mr. Mohammed Ndadoko – Member- representing Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment Industry are to serve in the newly reconstituted Board with Keyamo.
Others are Dr. Yerima P. Terfa – Memeber- the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Mr. Rasaq Bello-Osagie- Member, Mrs. Olubunmi Osuntuyi (Member), representing the Nigerian Employers Consultative Association, Comrade Amechi Asugwuni (Member), representing the Nigerian Labour Congress, Mr. Collins Iriferi Umukoro – Member, Mr. Andrew Obukohwo Egunoma – Member and Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, the Director-General of National Directorate of Employment. – Member
According to the release, the Board will be inaugurated by the Supervising Minister of the NDE, and Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, on a date to be communicated to all appointees, adding that their appointment is for a period of four years.
