The Kaduna State Government is pleased to announce the successful completion of a 35-kilometre asphalt road that provides an essential link from Gadar Gayan in Igabi local government area, via a spur at Gwaraji in Kajuru Local Government Area, to Maraban Kujama in Chikun local government area.
This significant project features a 130-meter bridge spanning the River Kaduna and connects 76 farming communities across three local government areas.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the road was conducted by His Excellency, the Governor of Kaduna State, in January of the previous year.
The construction was executed by Messrs Mothercat Nigeria Limited, a respected and globally recognized road construction firm.
As the longest asphalt road constructed in Kaduna State in the past two decades, this landmark project is set to greatly enhance connectivity, facilitating the movement of people and goods while stimulating economic activity within the benefiting communities.
“This initiative is part of Governor Uba Sani’s rural transformation agenda, aimed at enhancing the economy and improving the livelihoods of the communities involved,” officials stated.
