A Deputy Inspector General (DIG), of Police in-charge of the Force Criminal Investigations Department, (FCID), Joseph Egbunike, is dead.
It was gathered that Egbunike, reportedly slumped and died in his office in Abuja in the late hours of Tuesday.
The late DIG Egbunike headed the Special Investigation Panel constituted by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba, to investigate the suspended head of the Police Intelligence Response Team, DCP Abba Kyari, over money laundering allegations.
Egbunike, hailed from Onitsha, Anambra State.
