FRSC Delta State Command Holds Handing Over Ceremony, Ensures Smooth Leadership Transition

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Delta State Command has successfully conducted a formal handing over ceremony at its Sector Command Headquarters in Ibusa, marking a seamless transition of leadership from Corps Commander Frederick A. Ogidan to Corps Commander Joyce N. Alexander.

The ceremony, held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, underscored the Corps’ culture of structured leadership, discipline, and professionalism. It was attended by senior officers, marshals, and key stakeholders in road safety administration.

In his valedictory remarks, Corps Commander Ogidan commended officers and marshals of the command for their dedication, teamwork, and commitment to reducing road crashes in the state.

He highlighted the gains recorded under his watch, particularly in the area of road safety campaigns and improved public engagement.

According to a release Issued by
Patrick O. Obiagbo, Superintendent Route Commander, Sector Public Enlightenment Officer, FRSC Delta State Command, the symbolic handover of instruments of office to Corps Commander Alexander was the high point of the ceremony.

In her brief response, the new Sector Commander pledged to consolidate on the achievements of her predecessor while deepening the Corps’ focus on road safety, discipline, and public service delivery.

The smooth transition not only boosted the morale of officers and marshals but also reaffirmed the FRSC Delta State Command’s commitment to continuity and professionalism in service to the people.
