The Councilor representing the two villages in a yet to be identified local government area of the state, Hon. Onem Tuna Miracle did the unimaginable by declining to a luxury car to give her constituents a better living standard.
The Story, gathered that official cars were shared to all councilors in Bayelsa State, but she demanded to be given the cash which she converted into a bridge project for her people.
According to a post by one Frank Ufomadu, she has an option to monitize it or take the car but Hon. Onem Tyna Miracle rather requested for the money.
According to her, “My council people don’t have good roads, and the two villages in the council ward are only connected by crossing a wooden bridge.
“So, I prefer using that money for the car to build a bridge to connect them, instead of driving a free car”.
The bridge you see below is that her official car.
It was learnt that the money was not enough to complete the project after the engineer gave her the quotation.
It was reliably learnt that she appealed to the youths to help in doing the labor work free, since the money for the car can only procure the entire materials needed for the construction of the bridge.
The youths accepted her plea and offered free labour work for the completion of the access bridge to the two villages.
