This is coming against the backdrop of a claim credited to Buba Galadima that they would not subscribe to an Igbo Presidency.
In his reaction on Tuesday via his verified Facebook page, the former minister and chieftain of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), wondered who are the “they”, referred to by Galadima.
The headline credited to Galadima as quoted by FFK, reads: “We will support candidate from South East, but not Igbo presidency”- Buba Galadima.
But in a swift reaction, Fani-Kayode said: “Who are the “we” and what exactly does this mean?
“When a Fulani was supported for the Presidency did we say we will support a North Westerner and not a Fulani? Why the double standard?
According to him, the people of the south-east are Igbo, insisting that there was nothing wrong with the Igbo producing the next president come 2023.
Hear him: “We must call a spade a spade. The people of the South East are Igbos, the word IGBO is not a dirty one and there is NOTHING wrong with an Igbo Presidency”, he added.
