As Muslims across the globe prepare to mark Eid-el-Kabir, a federal lawmaker representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency of Zamfara State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Aminu Sani Jaji, has called on Nigerians to embrace the core values of the celebration, sacrifice, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.

In a statement issued by his media aide, Jamilu Iliya Birnin Magaji, Dr. Jaji emphasized that the spiritual significance of the Sallah season must inspire unity, compassion, and collective responsibility among citizens, especially in times of national difficulty.

“The message of Eid-el-Kabir is deeply rooted in sacrifice, submission to the will of Almighty Allah, and love for humanity,” he said.

“It is a reminder that no nation can grow without shared responsibility and a sense of brotherhood.”

Jaji, who also chairs the House Committee on Ecological Funds, urged Muslims to extend the spirit of the season beyond festivities by praying fervently for peace and stability in Zamfara State and Nigeria at large.

He noted that the country’s current security and economic challenges require more than government action, they demand the active participation of the people through prayer, patriotism, and social harmony.

He also charged Nigerian pilgrims performing Hajj to remember their homeland in their supplications, saying,

“This sacred journey is a rare opportunity to intercede for our country. Let our pilgrims use this divine moment to pray for unity, justice, and lasting peace.”

Jaji encouraged his constituents and all Nigerians to rekindle their faith in the country, urging leaders and citizens alike to draw inspiration from Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience and resilience.

“Eid is not just a celebration, it is a call to renew our moral compass. Let us practice the values we preach, love, humility, and the pursuit of peace.”

While congratulating Muslims on the occasion, Dr. Jaji also extended his best wishes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and leaders at all levels, praying that their stewardship be guided by wisdom and the fear of God.

“May Allah accept our worship, bless our nation, and guide our leaders to act justly and selflessly,” he added.
