The Director-General of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency (DSCTDA), Hon. Patrick Ukah, on Wednesday embarked on a rigorous inspection of ongoing road projects in Oshimili South Local Government Area, warning contractors against substandard execution and delays.
The inspection covered key projects, including the Construction/Rehabilitation of Okwe Market–Umuapa Quarters Road–St. Theresa Catholic Church Road–Old Oko Road, Okwe (1,605 meters) and the Construction of Chris Abudei Street/Ogbueshi M. Onochie Street, Asaba (2.6 kilometers).
Ukah, who was accompanied by the Agency’s Project Manager, Engr. Bawo Atsiangbe, emphasized that the DSCTDA would not compromise on quality, insisting that the projects must be delivered to specification and within schedule.
“These roads are vital to opening up communities, facilitating mobility, and stimulating socio-economic growth. Contractors must understand that shortcuts will not be tolerated. DSCTDA will remain on ground to monitor each stage of work,” Ukah stated.
He further assured residents of the Agency’s unwavering commitment to infrastructure development within the capital territory, stressing that government investments must translate into tangible, long-lasting benefits for the people.
