The Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties (Government House), Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, has commended the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his visionary and people-centered leadership.
This development follows Governor Oborevwori’s flag-off of the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Ugbolu–Okpanam Road and critical adjoining roads in Oshimili North Local Government Area, held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Osuoza described the project as a key component of the MORE Agenda’s infrastructural development blueprint, designed to open up rural communities and boost connectivity within the state capital territory.
He noted that the 12-kilometre road, which begins from the Asaba–Ugbolu–Illah axis and terminates at Uche Nwankwo Street in Okpanam, would feature modern construction elements including concrete drains, culverts, asphalt layers, and stormwater discharge systems to ensure durability and resilience against erosion.
The Commissioner expressed profound gratitude to Governor Oborevwori for his trust in assigning him to supervise such a strategic road project, emphasizing that the initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to equitable development across the State.
He further assured residents that the contractor, Messrs Levant Construction Limited, has been carefully selected for its proven competence in civil engineering, promising that the project would be executed to standard and delivered on schedule.
Dr. Osuoza also appealed to the people of Oshimili North and Deltans at large to continue supporting the Oborevwori administration, whose commitment to progress and transformation, he said, continues to drive the delivery of critical infrastructure and improved living standards across the state.
He described the Governor as a compassionate and empathetic leader whose developmental strides continue to define a new era of governance in Delta State.
