Delta Gubernatorial Aspirant, Gbagi Bags Aare Atunluse Title From Deji Of Akure

Oba (Dr) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, the Deji and paramount ruler of Akure kingdom cum consenting authority over all minor Chiefs, Olus and Baales in both Akure north and south local government areas of Ondo state, has honoured Delta State leading governorship aspirant, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, with the title of Aare Atunluse of Akure kingdom.

The title which was in recognition of his role as a detribalized Nigerian who has contributed to the social, political and economic development in all geopolitical zones of the country, was conferred on the Delta industrialist on Saturday October 9th 2021, at the Palace of the monarch.

The Aare Atunluse title, which means head of those who does good for the generality of the people, was in further recognition of the former minster’s interest that he has shown and demonstrated in the overall development of the nation during his meritorious service as minister of the Federal Republic and his continuous zeal and will to serve his people.

Speaking in an interview, the newly installed Aare Atunluse of Akure kingdom, Olorogun Gbagi, maintained that as Nigerians, we should live as one indivisible group irrespective of our ethnic and religious diversity.

He disclosed that by the title conferred on him, that makes him as one and indigene of Akure kingdom, “that now puts me into a serious state of recalculation because I just started a new kingdom and a new peace. I will do my best”, he assured.

While describing the Oba, as a nice and a gentleman, Gbagi, said: “He should be at the forefront of how we bring Nigeria together as one.

“You can see from this kingdom today, Hausas, Igbos, Yorubas. I am an Urhobo man. It is like a fence. That man is a peaceful man, may his reign last forever”, the entrepreneur prayed.

Meanwhile, the owner of the Gbagi Foundation, was taken on a guided tour of the ongoing construction work at the new Palace of the reverred traditional ruler.
