All hope seems to be lost for the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), as the Director General (DG), Dr. Seye O’Dairo of the PDP governorship candidate in Lagos, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran aka Jandor, has resigned from the party.
O’Dairo, who led the campaign team of Jandor since its inauguration, did not give any reason for resigning from the party.
It was being speculated, however, that O’Dairo resigned believing that the Obidients would sweep Lagos State in the forthcoming election.
According to the resignation letter dated 15th March 2023, the former Campaign Director General, went straight to the point.
He said: “Please accept this as my formal resignation as the Director General of the Jandor for Governor Campaign Council.
“I have diligently worked tirelessly day and night since the inauguration of the Campaign Council.
“I appreciate the time and opportunity to have worked with you and the entire campaign team but have to formally take my leave now and I hope this decision meets you well.
“I wish you all well in your endeavors” the statement concluded.
The PDP has been hit by several resignations of its key chieftains and members who either joined the ruling APC or defected to Labour Party.
The former DG was later seen at a forum where the former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, Chief Olabode George led other members of Omo Eko Pataki to endorse the candidate of Labour Party, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.
