It was learnt that he died in Lagos at the age of 80, bringing to a close an extraordinary five-decade ministry that shaped destinies, ignited revivals, and inspired faith across nations.
Rev. Ukpai was widely celebrated as a man of uncommon grace and divine authority, a preacher, teacher, and healer whose life embodied humility, faith, and service.

Born in Asaga, Ohafia, Abia State, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai rose from humble beginnings to become a global missionary icon.
Through the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, which he founded in the 1970s, he organized massive crusades and revival meetings across Africa, Europe, and North America, drawing multitudes to Christ.
