A former assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Jackson Ude, recently took to social media to announce that the election tribunal members had agreed to deliver their judgement next week.
You may recall that Peter Obi of Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) filed a petition disputing Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory in the previous presidential election.
The trial started on May 8th of this year.
However, Jackson Ude has issued a statement indicating that the tribunal’s justices will announce a decision next week.
Ude went on to explain that the Tribunal, which is led by Justice Haruna Tsammani, is keeping the exact date of the verdict under wraps.
Ude went on to state that the panel, led by Justice Tsammani, intends to notify Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar a day or two before the day of judgement.
Jackson Ude mentioned the same thing in a recent tweet from his verified account.
