Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has lost his elder brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde.
The 65-year-old Engineer Sunday Makinde passed away in the early hours of Friday, January 24, 2025.
His passing was announced in a statement by another younger brother, Chief Olumuyiwa Makinde, who is the Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland and Head of the Aigbofa Family of Oja’ba in Ibadan.
“With a heavy heart, I announce the passing of my elder brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde, to eternal glory today, Friday, January 24, 2025,” Chief Olumuyiwa Makinde stated.
“His sudden demise occurred at his residence in Ibadan at 3:20 a.m. today, Friday, January 24, 2025.
“He is survived by his siblings, including the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engineer Seyi Makinde, as well as his children and grandchildren.”
