BREAKING NEWS: Okpebholo Appoints Commissioner for Information, Seven Others

Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo, has demonstrated his commitment to strengthening governance and communication by appointing a new Commissioner for Information, Hon. Paul Nosayaba Ohonbamu, in charge of the Ministry of Information and Communications alongside seven other key officials.

These appointments are part of his administration’s efforts to enhance transparency, effective dissemination of government policies, and efficient service delivery across various sectors.

The newly appointed officials bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their roles, reflecting the governor’s dedication to fostering development and progress in Edo State.

Others include Hon. Dr. Washington Osa Osifo, Commissioner for the Ministry of Water Resources and Energy; Dr. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu, Commissioner for the Ministry of Education; and Sir (Dr.) Lucky Eseigbe, Commissioner for the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

Additionally, the governor appointed Mr. Andrew Ijegbai as Commissioner for the Ministry of Mining and Barr. Marie Olabisi Idaomi as Commissioner for the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.

In the same vein, Mrs. Onome Briggs was appointed Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), while Hon. Francis Osabouhien was named Chairman of the Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Area Development Commission (EDSOPADEC).
