BREAKING NEWS: Obaseki’s Anointed Candidate, Ighodalo Wins Edo PDP Gov’ship Primaries

The preferred candidate of the incumbent governor of Edo State, Barr. Aside Ighodalo, has clinched the Edo State Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary conducted by the National Working Committee (NWC of the party.

The primaries which held on Thursday February 22nd 2024, was monitored by INEC officials at the Samuel Ogbomudia Stadium lawn Tennis Court, Benin City, Edo State.

Two aspirants, Barr. Omosede Igbinedion and Rt. Hon. Ogbeide Ihama withdrew from the contest before voting by the delegates started.

The scores are announced after counting by the Electoral Committee, Ighodalo scored 577 votes.

The Deputy Governor of the State, who had won in his factional group, got 1, while Anslem Ojezua, Felix Akhabue, Amb. Martins and Barr. Esene got zero respectfully with six void votes.
