Former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has ignited a storm of political debate after sharing his vision and wishes for Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Jonathan, who served as president from 2010 to 2015, posted on his official Instagram handle, emphasizing that “peace is the bridge that unites hearts and strengthens nations.”
He urged Nigerians to approach 2027 with “decisive action and not empty promises.”
The former leader outlined his hopes for the nation, stating that 2027 should mark the year “we restore our land, revive our economy, and reclaim our pride,” stressing that “together, one choice can shape a future worthy of our children.”
The post has drawn mixed reactions from Nigerians online. While some praised Jonathan’s enduring commitment to national progress and urged him to contest again, others insisted he should support younger candidates such as Peter Obi if he truly wants to inspire the youth.
