The National Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has appointed Comrade Felix Igbekoyi, former Vice Chairman of the NUJ Delta State Council and Correspondent of Leadership Newspapers, as National Ex-Officio.
The announcement was made by NUJ President, Comrade Abdullahi Alhassan Yahya, during the Union’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held in Kano State.
In Delta State, the news sparked jubilation among journalists, who hailed the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Igbekoyi’s dedication to the profession and service to the Union.
With this appointment, Comrade Igbekoyi becomes the highest-ranking NUJ officer from the Delta State Council, marking a significant milestone for journalism representation in the state.
