In a resounding show of support, the College of Executive Assistants (EAs) to Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has passed a vote of confidence in his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to good governance, infrastructural development, and policies fostering peace and prosperity.

This bold endorsement was initiated by the College of EAs on Tuesday February 12, 2025, by Otunba Nick Ovuakporie, a former State Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), turned EA Political from Delta South Senatorial District.

They emphasized that the vote reflects Oborevwori’s outstanding performance and dedication to delivering on his promises to the people of Delta State.

Backing this motion, Mr. Jossey Hannah (Delta North) and Olorogun Steven Eruotor (Delta Central) reinforced the vote of confidence, leading to a unanimous voice vote of support.

The meeting was presided over by Hon. Taju Isichie, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Community Development at Unity Hall , Government House, Asaba, the State Capital.

Meanwhile, in the resolutions reached during the meeting, the appointees expressed their gratitude to the State Governor for their appointments as Executive Assistants, recognizing their strategic role in implementing the MORE Agenda.

They urged members of the College of EAs to diligently promote the governor’s MORE Agenda.

The communiqué, signed by Hon. Taju Isichei (Chairman), Chief Duncan Ehwere (Secretary), and Comrade Norbert Chiazor (Media Officer), called on all appointees to contribute valuable insights for the benefit of all Deltans.

“The meeting profusely thanked the Delta state governor, His Excellency Rt.Hon.Sheriff Oborevwori for his magnanimous discretion in the appointment of the Executive Assistants (EAs) who are strategic stakeholders in the implementation of his laudable M.O.R.E Agenda.

“Resolved that all Executive Assistants should work together to power the M.O.R.E Agenda development policy thrust as envisioned by our Principal Authority,Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

“Requested every EA to continue to stand as ambassador of the governor in his of her local government area for resounding success of all government policies and programmes, designed for the betterment of Deltans and other residents.

“Urged all appointees to always provide useful insights that would help the government to initiate socially-beneficial projects for the people.

“Charged all to be in the frontline of highlighting the goodwill of the Oborevwori administration while discouraging all malicious tendencies of opposition elements,through proactive engagements.

“Considered an urgent audience with the governor to formally express loyalty and articulate workplans of the EAs for the attention of His Excellency.

“Appealed for oneness and harmony among all appointees at all times.

“Congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his meritorious award of the prestigious and Influential THISDAY/ARISE TV awards as GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR AWARD

“Commended the governor for his efforts in the leadership of the state so far exemplified by the provision of gigantic projects across the three senatorial districts of the state, payment of pension arears to Delta civil servants at the state and local government levels,prompt payment of workers salaries and entitlements, and human capital development resulting in the empowerment of thousands of Deltans.

“The college of EAs in recognition of the excellent milestones recorded by His Excellency Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in the past two years, through development of social infrastructure and human empowerment across the three senatorial districts, unanimously passed a vote of confidence in the governor and pledged overwhelming support towards his reelection come 2027 by the grace of God”, they added.
