The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) on Saturday said Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State is not in conflict with the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), rather he is after eliminating criminality in his state.
POLITICS NIGERIA recalls that during his inauguration in March, Soludo urged IPOB and its armed wing, Eastern Security Network (ESN) to work with his administration in tackling insecurity in the state. Some people believe the separatist organisation is responsible for the mindless killings going on in southeast states.
But despite Soludo’s plea for peace, assailants have continued to launch attacks on both citizens and security agents.
Addressing journalists in Awka, Anambra State, the National Coordinator of the APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, said, “Those behind the insecurity in Anambra state are not freedom fighters because freedom fighters don’t indulge in the suppression and oppression of those they are fighting for their freedom.
“Ndi Anambra should understand that Soludo is fighting for their liberation from the hands of wicked criminals.
“As for the governor, he will not rest on his oars until he achieves his desire of entrenching security of lives and properties in the state”.
