The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has named Hon. Stella Okotete among the 124 member of the National Gubernatorial Campaign Council for Bayelsa State Governorship Election coming up November 11.
Announcing the team, signed by the National Organizing Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Orgungu, disclosed that the National Chairman, Dr. Abdulahi Umar Ganduje, in consultation with the National Working Committee (NWC), of the party has approved the composition of the Bayelsa State National Gubernatorial Campaign Council.
He revealed that “the primary purpose is to lead the gubernatorial campaign in Bayelsa State and to ensure the triumph of the party in the November 11 2023 Governorship Election”.
The APC Bayelsa campaign council is to be chaired by Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, while the Minister of Defence, Abubakar Badaru, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume are to serve as co-chairpersons with Hon. Okotete, as number 16 on the list released by the National Secretariat of the party.
The council is charged with prosecuting the campaign for Timipre Sylva, who is running against the incumbent governor, Diri Douye, and others.
